Is there a My Life as Liz Season 2? Will a My Life as Liz Season 2 air, was it fake, and was the finale tonight … the series finale or just season finale?

My Life as Liz’s finale aired this evening on MTV. It’s leaving many questions unanswered. And if the net is any indication, the answers may not be good.

Tonight’s finale “The End of the Beginning” featured Liz considering moving to New York. Tonight was episode 9 of 9 for season 1 and got deemed the finale. But is it the season finale or series finale?

IMDB, Wikipedia and MTV do not list a season 2. IMDB generally lists upcoming seasons in production. No such season 2 in production is listed for My Life as Liz. So by all indications, tonight is the series finale. There is no season 2.

And is My Life as Liz fake?

IMDB lists the show as a “comedy”, not as a reality show, and says it is a “A pseudo-mockumentary focusing on sardonic 18 year old Liz Lee and her attempts to deal with life in her Texas town.”

Insiders say it was never completely real. Just people playing themselves in situations that were staged. So is it completely real? No. Completely fake? No.

MTV reportedly said of the show that “We don’t look at it as just a reality show — that doesn’t capture it. We weren’t going to call it a sitcom, because it’s not.”

OGRA has announced slight decrease of 1 to 4 percent in petroleum products on Sunday. Petrol declined to Rs 70.67 with a decrease of 64 paisas. In a press conference, ORGA’s senior executive director finance Syed Jawwad Naseem announced slight decrease in petroleum products. According to which, light speed diesel reached at Rs 69.47 with a decrease of 60 paisas, high speed diesel slashed to Rs 69.89 with a decrease of Rs 1.97, kerosene oil decreased to Rs 61.50 with a decline of Rs2.56 and HOBC reached to Rs68.06 with a decrease of 78 paisas. Petrol and HOBC rates have been decreased by one percent each while light and high speed diesel prices have been decreased by three percent each. Kerosene oil has been decreased by 4 percent. New prices have been applied from today.

Google announcement of the Nexus One release was finally happening. Google has unveiled an own-brand smartphone called the Nexus One at Google’s HQ in Mountain View, BBC reported. Google’s Nexus One phone is a slim, touchscreen phone that runs Google’s Android operating system.The release of the Nexus One is seen as a move to ensure Google remains relevant as people search the web using mobile phones rather than typing queries into a PC.

At the briefing, Google said the Nexus was “a point of convergence where the web meets phone and is an example of what is possible on mobile through Android.”

Auto Expo 2010, German carmakers launch new models in AutoexpoNew Delhi:German carmakers Audi, BMW and Skoda launched dazzling new models at the Autoexpo, an annual automobile exhibition held in the national capital, on Tuesday.

Audi announced the release of its new model, the A7 Sportback, and said that the model would be available in the Indian markets by 2011.

Stefan Hamberger, Audi’’s Director of the regions of Africa, Middle-East, India and the French Overseas, also announced a price-cut in one of Audi’’s most popular models – the A6, to celebrate Audi’’s centenary.

“I”m pleased to announce today that to celebrate hundred years of Audi, we launched, starting today, a limited edition of the Audi A6 2.7 TDI for Rs. 31 lakhs on road,” Hamberger said.

Audi India’’s Managing Director, Benoit Tiers, said that they were pleased with Audi’’s growth in the country and were confident of seeing it increase.

Meanwhile, Czech Republic-based carmaker, Skoda, a subsidiary of German auto-giant Volkswagen also unveiled the highly popular sports utility vehicle (SUV) the Yeti.

Other models on display by Skoda were the Fabia Elegance and a top-of-the-line Superb, which boasted of a 3.6 litre V6 engine, four-wheel-drive (4WD), as well as a seven-speed gear system.

Board members of Skoda Auto said that they had always met customer expectations and were confident on maintaining their niche in Indian markets.

“We are on the road to meet customer expectations of the car and relying on future as well. So, this will be obviously one of the reasons that we are here, hitting directly at the market,” said Reinhard Fleger, Member of the Board (Sales and Marketing), Skoda Auto.

The show-stealer, though, was arguably the BMW display, which showcased BMW’’s convertible, Z4, and the SUV X1. BMW announced the release of the X6 M, and the seven-series model, BMW 760 Li. It also launched the limited edition of the new Gran Turismo, of which only a mere hundred models will be released in India.

The President of BMW India, Peter Kronschnabl, announced BMW’’s lead in India’’s ”Luxury Car Segment”, and said that they expected growth in Tier Two cities (cities with a population of less than one million).

“All the products are enlarging the dealer networks to tier II cities, applying only international standards, we are well-prepared to maintain the number one position in the year 2010,” Kronschnabl said.

Oil Holds Above 81 Dollars

LONDON News: World oil prices rose on Tuesday, holding above 81 dollars per barrel, supported by increased consumption of heating fuel because of cold weather in the northern hemisphere, analysts said.

New York’s main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in February, gained 12 cents to 81.63 dollars a barrel.

Brent North Sea crude for February delivery added 16 cents to 80.28 dollars in London trading.

Oil had begun 2010 with a bang on Monday, soaring by more than two dollars as cold weather boosted expectations of higher energy demand.

Reports that Russia cut supplies to Belarus also helped push prices higher, dealers said. Officials in Belarus denied it had cut supplies.

“Cold weather across the Northern Hemisphere propelled crude prices two dollars higher,” said PVM analyst David Hufton.

“Help also came from Russia’s oil dispute with Belarus and universally positive manufacturing data from China, India, Korea, the UK and US.”

“On the weather front, in the US heating oil demand is expected to be 21 percent higher than normal this week,” he added.

There was news on Monday of robust activity in the US manufacturing sector, in a further sign that the US economy — a key engine for global growth — is well on its way to recovering from a deep recession.

The Institute for Supply Management said its manufacturing index, also known as the purchasing managers index, climbed to 55.9 percent in December from 53.6 percent in November, for a fifth consecutive month of expansion.

The figure was stronger than the consensus estimate of a modest rise to 54.3 percent. Any number above 50 percent indicates growth.

Separately, a survey showed on Monday that manufacturing in China continued to expand in December as new orders received by factories rose for the ninth month in a row on booming demand from home and abroad.

“Signs of improving conditions in US and Chinese manufacturing helped spur buyers into the oil markets,” said ODL Markets analyst Marius Paun, adding that oil prices have now rallied by around 15 percent since mid-December.

Meanwhile on Monday, a spokeswoman for oil refineries in Belarus denied reports that Russia had cut oil supplies from January 1.
