Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar rode a road roller to project his upcoming flick ‘Khatta Meetha’.
Akshay reached the ceremony held for the film’s projection on a road roller dressing in the same way as he did in the movie.
The talents of directorial maverick Priyadarshan and acting supremo Akshay Kumar reunites once more for Khatta Meetha – an intelligent political satire on the municipal and construction dealings in India. The film, touted to be Akshay’s best comedy yet, is told through the life of his character, ‘Sachin Tichkule’, a struggling road construction contractor.
Sachin has big dreams of becoming the best road contractor in the region. However, due to his lack of money and inability to bribe officials in the municipal office, he never manages to get any of his bills or contracts passed. The film continues to unfold, revealing the various facets and levels of bribery and crooked tricks required for one to survive the system. As Akshay’s character continues to chase his dream, he comes to a crossroad where he has to decide whether to be honest himself and ultimately expose those who have wronged, even if that includes his own brother and family. Khatta Meetha would hit cinema worldwide on 23rd July 2010.

Dhoni retakes number-one ODI spot

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken back the top spot in the ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsman as his see-saw battle with Australia’s Michael Hussey continues.

Hussey, who had been top of the log briefly following the recent series against Pakistan, scored 23 in the fourth ODI and didn’t play in the fifth and final match of the series and so drops below Dhoni, who now embarks on a three-ODI series against South Africa.
The news is better for Hussey’s captain Ricky Ponting, who has gained four places in the latest rankings and regains a position in the top five, sitting as he does now in fourth spot, just behind South Africa’s AB de Villiers.

Off the back of some excellent recent form Tendulkar has moved up a further three places and now sits in equal sixth position while Laxman’s 143 not out has earned him six places, up to 14th spot.

Tiger Woods Speaks Out, Tiger Woods is finally going to speak out this morning! (Friday Feb 19th)
He probably won’t say much, but here’s a couple things I’m pretty sure he won’t say…
Pants on the ground, pants on the ground…
Yes, I am the father of Tila Tequila’s baby!’
The funny thing is, most of the girls I was with had smaller chests than Phil Mickelson!
Beyonce had the best video of all time… of all time!
Finally, I’m very sorry… that I got caught!

India peg back South Africa despite Petersen, Amla ton

India pegged back South Africa on the first day of the second and final test match at Eden Garden in Kolkata. The visitors lost seven wickets for 32 runs in the evening session as hosts fought back strongly to turned the thing around.
Earlier in the day South Africa after opting bat first off to a shaky start when lost captain Graeme Smith in the day’s third over but with centuries from the debutant Alviro Petersen and Hashim Amla gave Proteas a solid platform for a big one.
Petersen knocked 100 and Amla scored 114 to lift the Proteas to 2-229, before India rattled the line-up and reduced them at 266-9 before the days stumped. But it was Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh who denied Proteas’ fluent proceedings to pushed them on back foot.
Petersen – who was handed a Test cap at the last minute after wicket-keeper Mark Boucher was ruled out with back spasms, took the golden chance with both hand to smack 16 boundaries in his superb hundred. While Amla – who was unbeaten 253 in the first Test, departed after hitting 14 boundaries and a six to his 114 off 166 balls before felling to Zaheer.
Harbhajan trapped Ashwell Prince and JP Duminy lbw off successive deliveries, but tail-ender Dale Steyn denied off-spinner’ hat-trick. AB de Villiers (12), Paul Harris (one) and Steyn (5) back in hut, leaving the last pair of Wayne Parnell (2*) and Morne Morkell (3*) at the crease.
