Deepika Padukone And Katrina Kaif News, It was a clash of titans when Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-flame Deepika Padukone and his current love interest Katrina Kaif bumped into each other accidentally. News has it that both the stars met each other at a shoot and exchanged cold vibes before Katrina walked out, skipping some real action had the beauty prolonged her stay at the venue. Talking to a news daily about Deepika’s magazine photo shoot at the Mehboob Studio, an eyewitness said “Deepika had come with Farhan Akhtar for her photo shoot. Somewhere around late afternoon, Deepika was giving her solo shots in the garden area of the studio. While Deepika was doing her last minute touch-up, there was pin drop silence and all eyes swivelled to the entrance. It was Katrina Kaif, who had accidentally walked in, thinking it was the venue where she was called for her shoot.”

“Dressed in a short white skirt and a pink tee, Katrina walked in and froze for a second. Deepika, who was standing some distance away, saw her. Both had a few seconds of eye contact, and Katrina immediately took a U-turn and walked away,” said the eyewitness.

Meanwhile, a close source maintained, “Although Ranbir and Deepika are not seeing each other any more, the latter still has issues with Katrina. It was the growing friendship between Katrina and Ranbir which marked an end to her relationship.”

Incidentally, both Katrina and Deepika were unavailable for any comments. Well, sometimes silence speaks!

Salman in a care-a-damn mood avowed that Katrina was still his ladylove. Speaking on a chat show the actor, for the first time, accepted that he was ‘dating Katrina’. A guest on Koel Purie’s chat show, the actor not only talked openly about Katrina but also his ex-lover Aishwarya and arch rival Shah Rukh Khan. Confirming the story, a source said, “Salman wasn’t ready for the interview, but Koel grilled him on his set at the Mehboob Studio. She asked him all sorts of questions, some of which were controversial. But Salman answered each one of them in monosyllables.”

And, when the actor was asked whether he was dating Katrina, he replied with a loud ‘Yes!’ However, when he was questioned about ex-girlfriend Ash, he started talking in riddles. “Salman was asked if he would ever work with her, and he replied with a No! It was evident he didn’t want to revisit that chapter of his life, “adds the source. Mumbai: Deepika Padukone is one tough lass! Just a month after her much publicised break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, the stunner is glowing as she is mixing up with one esteemed personality after the other. Refusing to mop and weep over her tragic love affair, the diva showed her dignified side as she dined in the company of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and 20 cabinet ministers at the PM’s residence at 10 Janpath. Quite an honour right? The dinner was organized for the visiting Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and his wife Miyuki Hatoyama. And Deepika Padukone’s presence was adding glamour to the event.

But with so many top-notch celebs available, why was Dips the sole star at the event? Well, it so happened that the Japanese PM and his wife are huge Bollywood fans and they expressed the desire to meet the ‘Om Shanti Om’ lady Deepika.

And when the dainty beauty received a call from the PM’s office, she was much too pleased to oblige. Dressed in a saree by Manish Malhotra, the stunner carried herself with poise and grace at the event. Talking about the rare honour, Deepika said, “It is a privilege and honour for me to be invited for this dinner. I am excited and nervous at the same time.”

Avenged Sevenfold Drummer Dead, According to The Orange County Register, AVENGED SEVENFOLD drummer James Owen Sullivan (a.k.a. The Rev) was found dead at his home on Monday (December 28). He was 28 years old. Sullivan appears to have died of natural causes, Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo told The Orange County Register. Police were notified by firefighters who had responded to Sullivan’s home about 1 p.m., according to the report. In addition to playing drums for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, The Rev was a prolific songwriter, having contributed the track “A Little Piece of Heaven” to the band’s fourth studio CD, 2007’s “Avenged Sevenfold”.

“The Rev is very good at coming in with full songs,” singer M. Shadows said in a 2007 interview with Revolver magazine. “That guy’s a piece of work; he’s badass and he’s a great writer. He walked in with ‘A Little Piece of Heaven’, and it was like an eight-minute movie that he wrote and had in his brain; nothing was on a recorder — he just walked in, one-fingered it on the piano, played drums over it, and was like, ‘That’s the song. Let’s bring some string guys in to work on the string arrangements.’ And we were like, ‘Fuck yeah, dude!’”

“I can write in any style that I choose,” The Rev said in the same interview. “And I’ve always been heavily been influenced by Danny Elfman, OINGO BOINGO, MR. BUNGLE, and bands like that. With all the different parts and the cinematic feel, I thought it called for lyrics that told a story, too. Without giving too much away, it’s about a couple: First the boyfriend kills the girlfriend, and then the girlfriend comes back and repossesses her body and kills the boyfriend; then he comes back and repossesses his body and apologizes, and they get married. And then they start killing everyone at their wedding. I just had a lot of fun with that one!”

AVENGED SEVENFOLD’s last release was the DVD/CD package, “Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough”, which came out in September 2008. The live DVD features the band’s April 2008 hometown show at the Long Beach Arena headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, while the CD contains previously unreleased b-sides that were recorded during the making of “Avenged Sevenfold”, plus various covers, and other never-before-heard material. The DVD was directed by Core Entertainment’s Rafa Alcantara, who also worked on the band’s critically acclaimed 2007 road documentary “All Excess”.

Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor wants Deepika Padukone back! Just a day after it was reported that the long-legged lass has moved on to find bliss in the arms of another man Farhan Akhtar, the Kapoor lad is hoping to get back his lady. The couple that had recently called off their relationship had been keeping mum on their split. Nevertheless, even though they are yet to confirm their break-up, Ranbir has already confessed to looking forward to a reunion. Going out for nearly two years, the couple had parted ways over unknown reasons. Known for their bold outlook and flirtatious ways, everyone had expected the couple to fall for someone new. Saif taking Love Aaj Kal to T20 World Cup

Saif Ali Khan is all set to promote his debut film as a producer, Love Aaj Kal at the coming ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2009 cricket tournament. The film, directed by Jab We Met fame Imtiaz Ali stars Saif alongside Deepika Padukone. The cricket tournament is slated to begin from 5 June and will culminate on 21 June with the finals.
Our sources reveal that the lead pair of the film, Saif and Deepika will be travelling to England, where the tournament will be held and Saif will also be sharing the commentary box with Harsha Bhogle.

Love Aaj Kal is co-produced by Eros International and has been held up from being releasing due to the on-going strike spurred by the tussle between Hindi film producers and multiplexes. Love Aaj Kal’s tie-up with T20 World Cup will set the ball rolling in terms of promotions of movies that are slated to hit screens. If the strike ends soon, the film is likely to release by June end.

Biren Ghose executive director of Eros International states “Basically we see that the cricket tournament is a great platform to promote our film following our last win at the World Cup. Love Aaj Kal is one of our biggest movies and we want to mount it on a large platform. We are co-producers with Saif’s Illuminati films and we also announced the title of the film recently. Since there is tremendous cache with Bollywood and sports we decided to tie up with ESPN to promote our film at the T-20 world cup. We will be unveiling the look of the film at the World Cup.”
