Ind vs Sa Score, india vs South Africa: Virender Sehwag and Subramanian Badrinath led India’s fightback, taking India to 119/3 at lunch on Day 3 of the first Test versus South Africa at Nagpur.

Sehwag traded his brutal self for a more sedate one, and was unbeaten on 63 runs at break. Badrinath too, having weathered a couple of body blows from Steyn early on, was looking solid during his 21 runs.
Earlier, India were in a spot of bother as South Africa snared 3 early wickets on the third day’s play morning, exposing the vulnerability in the Indian batting order.
Resuming the day at 25/0 after South Africans had declared at 558/6 yesterday, India suffered their first jolt in the second over of the day when Gautam Gambhir fell without adding anything to his overnight score of 12 runs, to Morne Morkel.
Dale Steyn then cleaned up Murli Vijay with a peach of a delivery, the ball swinging inwards after pitching, to leave India reeling at 40/2.
Vijay made just 4 runs.
Steyn then dealt the biggest blow to India, when he had Sachin Tendulkar caught behind by Mark Boucher. Away moment proved to be Mumbai Maestro’s doom, who had already launched himself into a drive.
Tendulkar contributed just 7 runs to India’s cause and at 56/3, revival seemed a distant dream.

The onus shifted on senior pro Sehwag, and greenhorn Badrinath, as they attempt to wade out of the troubled waters. The duo has taken just nascent steps towards recovery and would look to consolidate the partnership.
India need to make atleast 359 runs to avoid the ignominy of follow-on.

Yemen Al-Qaeda to Attack West

Yemen Al-Qaeda to Attack West, US intelligence agencies claim that a team of non-Arabic female suicide bombers has been sent to attack targets in the West.
Security officials have been warned to be on the look-out for the women, carrying Western passports, who are believed to have escaped an attack on an Al-Qaeda terror camp in Yemen. Terror experts within the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, a unit of MI5, now believe that an attack against the UK is “highly likely”. US law enforcement agents have been told to be on the lookout for female suicide bombers who may attempt to enter the country. At least two are believed to be connected to Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula which dispatched underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who tried unsuccessfully to bring down a transatlantic airliner over Detroit. Security sources said that it was “inevitable” that Al-Qaeda would eventually turn to using women with a western appearance to carry out suicide attacks. Officials said that airliners and all forms of transport could be targeted as well as sports stadiums, ports and power stations. Although female suicide bombers have been used to carry out attacks by Al-Qaeda in Iraq and Palestinian groups in Israel, none are thought to have been used against European or US targets before.

Osama is Alive, Claims Al-Qaeda Leader

Al-Qaeda leader Sheikh Rashad Mohammed Saeed Ismael alias Abu al-Fida has ruled out the news about death of Osama Bin Laden, saying that he is alive and kicking.
He said that Osama married for fifth time few months before 9/11 and his Yemeni wife went to meet him in Afghanistan via Pakistan. During an interview, Osama’s close aide Abu al-Fida said that when Osama decided to marry for the fifth time, he turned to him to find him a Yemeni bride. After initial preparations, Fida escorted a girl namely Amal al-Sadah from Sana’a to Kandahar via Karachi where Osama would was waiting for his future bride. The expenditures of the marriage were borne by al-Qaeda’s financial chief Sheikh Saeed al-Masri.
He added that Osama left Afghanistan before 9/11, however his wife stayed behind. After 9/11, he was arrested in Yemen and detained for two years. His brother Sadeq, 25, was seized in Pakistan and sent to the Guantanamo Bay detention centre. A brother-in-law and a cousin remain there to this day. Fida blames a recent resurgence of the group called Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula on the Yemeni government’s failure to help former fighters returning from Afghanistan.
“Some of these men got frustrated and disillusioned and decided to head back to the mountains and regroup,” he said. He confirmed that the group had organised the failed attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian who had studied in London, to blow up an airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day with explosives sewn into his underpants after training in Yemen.
Fida now acts as an adviser to the Yemeni government, pressing it to provide money and jobs for rehabilitated radicals, and has offered to mediate between officials and Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

A centurion partnership between skipper MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli got India back on track even though the required run-rate climbed up. The effort got India past the 150-run mark.
This came after India had dug a big hole for themselves as the top order fell like a pack of cards, the third to fall being Yuvraj Singh. It was agony after heartbreak as the opening pair went out without delivering with Gautam Gambhir getting clean bowled at a score of eighteen runs after India had suffered the first jolt of run-chase with a terrible display of running between the wickets by Virender Sehwag.
It was Mahmudullah’s quick-fire fifty had helped Bangladesh post their highest ever ODI total against India as the scorecard read 296/6 at the end of the stipulated overs. Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes also played a pivotal role in the achievement of the total.

Pakistan News: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Waseem Ahmed on Thursday rejected the CCTV footage released by City District Government yesterday saying that he did not visit the command and control centre on 10th of Muharram. He revealed that he had directed Police not to open fire on the miscreants.
CCPO Karachi said the footage released by the city district government is not based on reality. “I did not visit the so-called command and control centre on 10th of Muharram. I was there a day before but not on 10th.” He questioned authenticity of the cameras installed saying that they cannot be used for security purposes. “The picture quality of the footages is very poor. It can’t be used for security purposes as we can’t identify the people by focusing a specific person.” On the contrary, he said the police have identified some 25 people based on the footage.
Waseem Ahmed told that he stopped Police from opening fire on miscreants due to the sensitivity of the incident. “I ordered police not to open fire on rioters because it was a religious and highly sensitive incident. If we had opened fire on them, it would have triggered riots all across the country. However, I had urged them to use tear gas to disperse the angry mob.”
Police had left the area and fire brigade vehicles were barred from entering the affected area after the blast in central mourning procession of Yaum-e-Ashur in Karachi. Dunya News received another CCTV footage of the incident on Wednesday recorded by City District Government Karachi.
According to the received footage, Police had evacuated the area seven minutes after the blast and even fire brigade vehicles were not allowed to enter the affected area where several buildings and markets were torched.
City Nazim Karachi Mustafa Kamal has also rejected allegations leveled by Interior Minister Sindh Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza who said that the city government released only the footage according to its own will. He told that the command and control system was handed over to Police on 10th of Muharram.
