Salman Khan ‘Qaidi No 210’

MUMBAI,INDIA NEWS: They were perhaps some of the darkest days in Salman Khan’s life, but now they are set to light up the silver screen.
Salman, one of the prime accused in the infamous chinkara case, had to spend time behind bars in 1996 and 1998, and now that period of his life is being recreated in a film called Qaidi No 210. And guess who is helping with the research? Salman’s former cellmate, Mahesh Kumar Saini.
Mahesh and Salman struck up something of a friendship in the three days they spent together in Jodhpur Central jail in 1996. Ranjit Sharma, the producer of Qaidi No 210, was introduced to Saini by the jailor during the course of his research and now he has taken him onboard as a consultant.
“I spent quite some time researching the subject and met many people in Jodhpur Central jail. That’s where I also met Mahesh Kumar Saini, a murder suspect,” said Ranjit Sharma. “I told him to get in touch with me whenever he was released.
He got in touch some months ago and he has given me details about Salman’s stay in the jail. Chirag Patil, son of former cricketer Sandeep Patil, will play Salman.”
Mahesh himself is all praise for Salman and convinced about his innocence. “All I can say is that Salman is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. I know for a fact that he is innocent. I can’t reveal more because he had told me everything in confidence, but Salman never fired that shot (which killed the chinkara).
He is going through hell to save someone else. I don’t think he ever expected this incident to become such a controversial matter and that even political bigwigs would play dirty. But one day justice will be done,” he said.
Recounting the three days he spent with Salman in jail, Mahesh said, “On the first day, he was tense.
I was the jail monitor, so I chatted with him and took him for a prison tour.” Several interesting aspects about Salman revealed by Mahesh may finally make their way to the script as well. “Salman is addicted to coffee. He wanted one cup every hour.
He hardly ate anything except the chocolates his brother Sohail had given him. He had many visitors. The ones I knew were his sister Alvira and brother Sohail. On the second night, I made soyabean and we ate together.”
Mahesh says Salman even managed to exercise in the jail. “We managed to sneak in dumb bells for him though they are not allowed. On the second day he was feeling bored. I arranged a carrom board for him and even a chess board.”
When Salman was finally released on bail, he offered to give Mahesh Rs 20,000 as a token of his appreciation. “I told him I can’t take the money, but I’d be grateful if he could find me a job when I got out. Salman said he’d do the needful, but I have to reach him.
I hope to meet him someday because I know a person like him will honour his word,” said Mahesh.

Mumbai: It seems that the filmdom will see a happy reunion of ‘Karan-Arjun’ – Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan very soon. The rival camps of SRK and Salman, which cropped up after the face-off between the two superstars on Katrina’s birthday party previously, will soon cease to exist because the Khans are enemies no more – all thanks to Shiv Sena!
Acording to sources, Salman has shown his support for SRK, who is currently in the midst of a controversy over his comments on inclusion of Pakistani players in the IPL (Indian Premier League) cricket matches, by declaring “Shah Rukh doesn`t owe an apology to Shiv Sena”.
Salman has forgotten his old rivalry and is showing full-fledged support to SRK for a bigger cause – despotic tendencies of Shiv Sena. Salman Khan has openly said that Shah Rukh has not done anything wrong by favouring the inclusion of Pakistanis in IPL and being an owner of one the IPL teams he had the rights to comment. Earlier, Shah Rukh had said that Salman is a great actor and now Salman Khan is openly supporting him.
The entire film fraternity, artists and fans across the world are showing their support for SRK. At least Shiv Sena has done some good to the country by unifying the filmdom at least!

Mumbai: With her movies continuing to work wonders at the Box Office, Bollywood lissome lass Katrina has gone choosey! News has it that she is having second thoughts about working in Abbas Mustan’s remake of ‘The Italian Job’, simply because she doesn’t have a plum role in the project.
Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “Initially, Katrina had agreed to do the film. However, after going through the script, Katrina realised that she does not like her role. Gone are the days when she signed films opposite big heroes without bothering about her role. Today, Katrina is very particular about her roles too.”
Clearly, the actress is indecisive whether to sign the film or not. Meanwhile, another cause of worry for the actress is the change of male lead in the film as, “Earlier she was very kicked about the film because Saif was part of it. However, after Saif opted out of the project, her interest soon diminished,” said the source.
By the way, Abbas Mustan’s remake of ‘The Italian Job’ is the third film in the past three months that is giving sleepless nights to the actress. Earlier, the actress dilly-dallied with Sanjay Gadhvi’s ‘7 Days In Paris’ and Anees Bazmee’s ‘Thank You’ with finally opting out of both the projects.
It is believed that Katrina has asked Abbas Mustan to make certain changes in the script in case they want her to be a part of the project. When enquired, Abbas Mustan and Katrina were unavailable for comment.

News has it that the little pup’s naming ceremony took place on Monday evening, when pleased with the Box Office collections of ‘Veer,’ Salman surprisingly came up with an idea and named the pup Veer as, “Let’s call him Veer.” Talking to a news daily, a close to Salman Khan said, “Making ‘Veer’ was not easy for Salman. Throughout the film he had altercations with the director Anil Sharma who finally filmed only a portion of the story that Salman wrote. There were heated abusive arguments between the star and director almost till the end of shooting.”
“Suddenly after the puppy arrived things began to improve between Salman and Anil Sharma. The atmosphere on location became cordial and the last lap of the film was completed in peace. From then onwards Salman considered the new dog in his life lucky,” continued the source.
The dog, a Mastiff battled with bouts of frequent illness however, its health miraculously improved after the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Veer.’ Meanwhile, with ‘Veer’ doing well at Box Office, Salman considers his new pet extremely lucky as the source finally added, “Salman attributes the success of Veer to his new dog. ‘This is Veer who made Veer a success,`” he proudly says to guests.”r

Salman Khan Sued For Veer

Salman Khan Sued For Veer, Gurgaon-based writer Pavan Choudary, the author of a book called A Trilogy Of Wisdom, has alleged that the scriptwriter has copied a ‘thought’ or a ‘concept’ from the Hindi translation of this book, published last year. He has filed a case against producers Vijay Galani and Eros International, director Anil Sharma, and scriptwriter and hero, Salman Khan. The hearing is today at 10.30 am, says Choudary. “A Trilogy Of Wisdom is an exploration of Chanakya’s political, Confucius’ social, and Kabir’s spiritual wisdom,” Choudary explains. “In the Chanakya section, I have developed and presented my political dream for my country – the culmination of which is that ‘desh ko sone ki chidiya nahin, sone ka baaz banana hai. Kyunki chidiya ko toh baki pakshi noch noch kar kha jaate hain, par baaz ki taraf koi aankh utha ke nahin dekhta.’” He adds, “I saw a trailer of Veer in which there’s a dialogue – ‘Hamara desh ek sone ki chidiya hai jise aap log bhinch bhinch kar apne pet main dharna chahte ho … munh mein nahin aayegi chidiya … kyunki woh chidiya baaz ban chuki hai.’ It’s a complete pickup (sic) from my thought. It’s like taking away from Lal Bahadur Shastri the words, ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.’ Yeh unki saari zindagi ka saar tha. Toh woh saar hi le gaye mera,” complains Choudary.
After seeing the trailer, he says, he had a legal notice sent to Salman, Sharma and Galani, and also to Eros International. “I wanted to give them the chance to respond. I filed the suit on Saturday. I’ve had absolutely no response from them,” says Choudary. And what does he want from them? “I’ve asked for damages, but that’s not my main thing,” says Choudary. “What I want is that the paternity of this idea be attributed to me.”
